Belonging to Salicaceae family, it is a tall tree that can exceed 30 m in height. Poplar reaches maturity around 50 years of life, while life expectancy varies significantly depending on the subspecies and are included between 100 and 400 years.
The table tops obtained from the section are rich in natural veins that are always different and have extremely irregular edges that give strength and dynamism.
Poplar burl develops near the roots and sometimes in some point of the stem. It is characterized by the white color of the wood which contrasts with the yellow-brown color of the more rooted parts. It has a very decorative aspect called “partridge eye”.
